Obituary for Elizabeth Love (L.)

Elizabeth Love (L.)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother, Elizabeth “Liz” (Leonard) Love, widow of Robert T. Love, who passed away in November, 2007. Liz and Bob were married for 54 years and raised their family in Wethersfield, CT. Over the years, she worked for the Town of Wethersfield, the U.S. Post Office and the Town of Rocky Hill, and made many, many friends along the way. She loved going out to dinner with her children, the occasional trip to the casino, reading, the Boston Red Sox and UCONN Men’s and Women’s basketball. As long as she was with her family, she was happy. Liz leaves to mourn her passing her children, daughters; Roberta “Robbie” Rickert of Manchester and Laurie and her husband Harry Hughes of East Windsor, and sons Peter and wife Francine of Windsor, Bob and wife Shelley of Rocky Hill, Scott and wife Nancy of Cromwell and Christopher of Hartford. Also, Robbie’s former husband, Brad, who challenged Mom every Sunday with the Courant Word Jumble. She also leaves her adored grandchildren Jessica and Frank Miceli, Cassie Hughes Ortak, Christopher and Jen Love, Justin Rickert and Tiffany Paquet, Sarah Love, Jason Love, Keenan Love, Jay Rickert and fiancé Becca Samela and Zachary Love. Also great-grandchildren Dante and Chloe Miceli, Ela Ortak, Krystina, Madison and Dylan Love, Callie Love Rickert and Ella Grange. Her family will receive relatives and friends from 10 AM to 12 noon on Saturday, August 29th at the Farley Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Road, Wethersfield, with a memorial service to follow immediately thereafter. In lieu of flowers, friends may honor her memory by making a donation to a charity of their choice. Online condolences may be made at www.farleysullivan.com.
