Obituary for Barbara M. McCarthy (Charette)

Barbara M. (Charette) McCarthy, 82, husband of Robert McCarthy, formerly of Wethersfield, passed away Sunday June 21, 2015 in Hartford Hospital. She was born in Millville, MA, daughter of the late Leo and Mary (Sellers) Charette. At an early age, Barbara moved to Woonsocket, RI and was a graduate of Woonsocket High School. She married her husband Bob on July 2, 1955 and they settled in Wethersfield. Barbara was a stay at home Mom who raised their two daughters. She also was an excellent painter. Besides her husband, Barbara leaves her two daughters, Kathleen McCarthy of Manchester, Brigid McCarthy-Madar and her husband Richard Madar of Milford and her two granddaughters, Meghan and Sarah Patulak. Friends may gather Friday June 26, 2015 from 10:00 - 11:00 am at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd., Wethersfield. A Memorial Service celebrating Barbara's life will be held at 11:00 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Village Cemetery, Marsh St. Wethersfield.
