Obituary for Howard William Daley Sr.

Howard William  Daley Sr.
Howard W. Daley Sr., 74, of Wethersfield passed away Saturday March 14, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Hartford on May 3rd 1940. The son of the late Clifford W. Daley and Edna (Fromerth) Daley, Howard grew up in Hartford. Howard served 6 years in the Air Force Reserves. He retired from the Hartford Fire Department after 29 years of service. Howard will be dearly missed and remembered by his three devoted children: Sheila Myrick and husband James of Middletown, Howard Daley Jr. and wife Lisa of Berlin and Stephen Daley of Wethersfield and four beautiful grandchildren: Kyle, Kevin, Isabella and Andrea. He is also survived by his four siblings: Clifford Daley of Rockville, Joan Webster and husband George of Enfield, Eileen Fusari and husband Jerry of Farmington, and Mary Beth Daley of Wethersfield and many nieces and nephews. Howard’s greatest enjoyment was time spent with his family. He was a loving, caring, giving and devoted man. Howard could make you smile and laugh after only a minute of knowing him. He was loved by all that knew him and will be missed by everyone. Friends and relatives may pay their respects to the family Thursday, March 19, 2015 from 4-7pm at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd., Wethersfield. A Funeral Mass celebrating Howard’s life will be held Friday, March 20 at 10 am in Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield. Attendees are asked to go directly to the Church. Interment will follow the Mass in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery (Sacred Heart Section, 23) 1 Cottage Grove Rd., Bloomfield. Memorial Donations can be made to Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Charitable Service Trust, 3725 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring, KY 41076.
