Thomas “Tom” Golemba, 62, of Springfield, MA passed away Thursday, March 12, 2015 at Bay State Hospital with his family by his side. He was born January 31, 1953 to the late Lawrence and Gloria (Ricupero) Golemba and was raised in Wethersfield, CT. He is survived by his son, best friend and companion, Tommy and their loyal dog, “Rocky”. He also leaves his brother and sister in-law, David and Doreen Golemba of Bloomfield, his sister and brother in-law Susan and Tom Jones of Coventry and his nieces, Heather Golemba of New Britain, Leslie Golemba-LeTourneau of Vernon and Missy Jones of Coventry. Tom will be greatly missed by his grand nephews, Kevin and Dylan LeTourneau, who enjoyed having Tom cheer them on at their sporting events. He also leaves behind his grand niece and nephews Taylor and Connor Finn, and Aaron Corcoran-Adams. Tom was retired from the State of Connecticut, where he worked many years as a Corrections Officer. He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots Fan. After retirement Tom relocated to Springfield, MA, where he lived until his death. Friends and relatives may call at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd., Wethersfield, CT on Saturday, March 21, 2015 from 12noon to 1pm, followed by a service at 1pm in the funeral home.
