Pauline (Baroli) Kelly, of Rocky Hill, beloved wife of the late Edward A. Kelly Jr., passed away peacefully Saturday, January 10, 2015 at home with her family by her side. Pauline was born in Hartford, and attended Hartford schools, graduating from Hartford Public High School. Prior to her retirement she was employed by the State of Connecticut, Department of Public Health for many years. Pauline was very active, she enjoyed bowling at Barry Square, ceramics, monthly Bunko games, as well as shopping and baking for her family and friends. She was very devoted to the church, and was a member of the St. Elizabeth Seton Welcoming Committee and Sunday Hospitality providing coffee and doughnuts after Mass. Pauline will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her loving family, two sons, Jim Kelly of Rocky Hill, with whom Pauline made her home, Rick Kelly and his wife Coleen, of Newington; daughter Kathleen Whitmore and her husband David of Marlborough; four cherished grandchildren, Taylor Kelly, Michael Whitmore, Adam Whitmore, and Grace Whitmore; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as her very close friend Dolly Sonnone. She was predeceased by her sisters, Ida DeLucco and Helen Baroli. The Kelly family wishes to thank Nancy, Carla, Cheryl, Mary, and Companions and Homemakers for their compassionate and loving care of our mother. We would also like to thank the Middlesex Home Hospice for the wonderful care provided in her final days. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 from 4-7pm at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd., Wethersfield. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Pauline’s life will be held Thursday, January 15th at 10 am in St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 280 Brook St., Rocky Hill. Friends and family are asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow the Mass in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, 1 Cottage Grove Rd., Bloomfield.
