Obituary for Lillian Mary Lousie Georgiades (Bedard)

Lillian Mary Louise (Bedard) Georgiades, 83, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 24, 2014, with her daughter and son by her side. She was born in Barre, VT, and was the daughter of the late Alexander and Yvonne (Daigle) Bedard. She was the wife of the late Basil Georgiades and lived in Glastonbury for most of her life. She was a telephone operator for SNET before becoming a homemaker, raising her two children. She leaves behind a son, Bruce Georgiades and his wife Linda, of Manchester, and a daughter, Michele Maillet and her husband Bernard, of East Hartford. Lillian was a grandmother to Aaron and Caleb Maillet, Leah Georgiades and her fiancé Henrique Feliciano, Amy (Georgiades) DelGiudice and her husband Brandon, and Matthew Georgiades. Lillian was also a great-grandmother to three wonderful children, Talia, Anastasia, and Aiden. She also leaves behind a sister, Pauline Baker of Brownsville, TX, and was predeceased by four brothers and three sisters. Lillian will be greatly missed by her companion, and caregiver for the last eleven years, Judy Poechhacker, her longtime friend Laura Biggs of Barre, VT, and several nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. A Memorial Service celebrating Lillian’s life will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 11:00am in Crossroads Community Cathedral, 1492 Silver Lane, East Hartford, CT 06108.
