Obituary for Robert L. Chapman

Robert L.  Chapman
Robert "Bob" Lewis Chapman passed away peacefully on October 20,2014. He was born in Worcester, Massachusetts on July 16, 1928 to Gertrude and Orin Chapman. After serving in the Army in the Aleutian Islands, he went on to graduate from Worcester Polytechnic Institute where he was featured in "Who's Who in America," captain of the Basketball team, and a member of the Skull Honor Society. Upon graduation, he went on to work in the insurance industry and then Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in East Hartford, from which he retired after 30 years. Bob resided in Wethersfield, CT for over 50 years with his wife of 60 years, the late Beverly Ann Chapman.Bob leaves behind his three loving daughters, Deborah Starin, Wendy Greaves, and Nancy Chapman, eight grandchildren, Andrew Starin, Rebecca Laforge, Abigail Starin, Kyle Greaves, Tyler Greaves, Jillian Greaves, Carly Corrigan, and Derek Warriner, and eight wonderful great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Saturday October 25, 2014 at 12:00 noon at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home 34 Beaver Rd. Wethersfield, followed by a private Interment for immediate family members. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help end Alzheimer's disease at www.alz.org.
