John Bonsignore

Dear Aunt Mary, Sue, Preston, Lisa and I extend our deepest condolences to you and all your family and wish we could share our feelings in person. We'll always remember the kindness you and Bob showed us, whether making us a fine dinner a few months ago or taking care of us as little kids. Certain memories of Bob will stay with me forever: • His wonderful machines (such as a reel-to-reel tape player, a player piano, and of course, VWs) and his ability to fix them. • Driving me and Robert to N.H. in a VW in pitch black darkness (but a lot of engine noise, especially climbing!). • Trying to teach me how to downhill ski when I was 15 or so (once in Ascutney and another time at Wildcat). Fear overwhelmed any ability I might have had. Basketball was more predictable. • Buying my dad a bike at RR Salvage, then tuning it up in your living room on Broad St. as we prepared for the bike trip that my Dad, Robert and I were about to take to Whitefield. • Without having a second thought, driving the two hours from Whitefield to Lake Winnipesaukee (then back again) to pick up a bike I'd abandoned with a broken derailleur (different bike trip than the one above with Dad and Robert). • Dancing with you at my sister Fenna's wedding. More than individual events, I'll recall his warmth, his smile, his subtle French accent and his joie de vivre. We will miss him. Love, John, Sue, Preston and Lisa
