Giuseppe Manciagli, 89, of Wethersfield / Meriden, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 5, 2014, after a short illness, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of the late Concetta (Quattropani) Manciagli, his beloved wife of 53 years. Giuseppe was born on December 1, 1924 in Palazzollo Acreide, Sicily; he was the son of the late Nunzio and Marianna Manciagli. Prior to his retirement he worked for the Hartford National Bank and The Hartford Insurance Co. He was a parishioner of the Church of the Incarnation in Wethersfield. He resided in Wethersfield for most of his life, recently moving to Meriden to live with his son and family. Giuseppe is survived by his son, N. John and his wife Wendy Manciagli of Meriden; two grandsons, Adam and Mathew Manciagli, both of Meriden; two brothers, Paul Manciagli and his wife Tina, of Rocky Hill, and Jim Manciagli and his wife Ann, of Williamsburg, VA; as well as his sister, Maria Manciagli of Florence, Italy. In addition to his wife and parents, Giuseppe was predeceased by his brother-in-law Paulo. There are no calling hours. A private burial will take place at the family’s convenience in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Giuseppe’s funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd., Wethersfield.
