Obituary for Mary Silvestri

Mary Silvestri, of Farmington, beloved sister, aunt, and great aunt, passed away peacefully Tuesday April 22, 2014. Born in Corleto Perticara, Province of Potenza, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Domenico & Donata (Ducatelli) Silvestri. Mary emigrated to the United States, residing in the Hartford area most of her life, most recently in Farmington. She was a clothing fitter and sales consultant for many years at the Lucy Baltzell Shop, prior to that, she was employed at the Betty Shop. She was a communicant for many years of St. Mark the Evangelist Church, West Hartford. Mary will be fondly remembered by her loving family; brother, Rocco Silvestri of Florida; five nieces, Mary Bocci in Italy, Petrina Bradunas, in PA, Donna Halloran of Boston, Maria Boulden and Dona Manuck, both in Florida; a nephew, Rocco Donnoli in Italy; along with many grand nieces and grand nephews. In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her sister, Rose (Silvestri) Donnoli, and her brothers, Peter and Vincent Silvestri. Funeral services and a Mass of Christian Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mary’s name to the Office of Radio & Television of the Archdiocese of Hartford, 15 Peach Orchard Rd. Prospect, CT 06712-1052.
