Martin Trymbulak 59, of South Glastonbury, husband of Bridget “Breda” (Moore) Trymbulak, passed away peacefully at home after an eight year battle with Leukemia on Sunday, April 13, 2014.
Born and raised in Hartford, son of the late Piotr and Anna (Mackiewicz) Trymbulak, Marty lived in South Glastonbury most of his adult life. He was a graduate of South Catholic High School class of ’73, UMASS Amherst class of ’77, where he played Division 1 football for four years. He also attended The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park NY, and received a Masters degree in Special Education at the University of Hartford.
Marty was an executive chef at several New York City and local restaurants. He opened a restaurant in Hartford called Miracles, where he taught Hartford kids culinary and restaurant management skills.
Besides his wife, he leaves his daughter Brittany Trymbulak and his twin sons Myles and Connor Trymbulak all of South Glastonbury. He also leaves his brother, Peter Trymbulak of Higganum, two sisters, Stasia T. DeMichele of Higganum and Wanda T. Piotrowicz of PA, his mother-in-law, Margaret Moore of Kennebunk, ME, sister-in-law Maureen and her husband Don Goss of Maplewood, NJ, brothers –in-law James and his wife Yolanda Moore of Greenville, RI and Daniel and his wife Rosemary Moore of Kennebunk, ME. In addition he leaves his godson Donald Goss, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 9am from the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Naubuc Ave., Glastonbury, followed by A Liturgy of the Word at 10am in St. Augustine Church, 55 Hopewell Rd., South Glastonbury . Friends and relatives may call on the family on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 from 5-8pm at the funeral home. The family requests in lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations be made to The Trymbulak Scholarship Fund, c/o Laura Hecker, 300 Main Street, South Glastonbury, CT 06073.
