Ann M.  Caruso
Ann Mary (Mulé) Caruso, 77, of Wethersfield, CT, entered into eternal rest unexpectedly on Sunday, March 30, 2014, with her family by her side. The beloved wife of 57 years to John Theodore Caruso. She was born on May 5, 1936, in Hartford, CT and grew up in the Thompsonville section of Enfield, CT. Ann is the daughter of the late Calogero and Vincenza (Provenzano) Mulé. In addition to her husband, John, Ann leaves behind her 5 children, Michele Eleveld and her husband Ronald of Windsor, CT; Patricia Pizzoferrato and her husband Emidio of Wethersfield, CT; Charlene Caruso of Amston, CT; Johnna Cohan and her husband Adam of Berlin, CT and Patrick Caruso and his wife Patricia of Liberty Township, OH. Ann, affectionately referred to as Nana, also leaves behind her grandchildren which were her pride and joy: Nicole Pizzoferrato and her fiancé Keith Millette, Michael Pizzoferrato and his girlfriend Michelle Rinaldo, Allison Caruso, Analiese Eleveld, Sophia Georgiades and Haley Cohan. She was recently predeceased by her loving grandson, John Georgiades and her only sibling Charles Mulé of Lowell, VT and his wife Anne. Ann will also be remembered by her sister-in-laws Anna Cassone and her husband Joseph and Corinda Rocco and her late husband Joseph as well as many nieces and nephews.
“Nana”, as others outside the family also affectionately called her, opened her heart and home through her love of her good cooking and always had a place at the table for everyone. Ann loved traveling and going on cruises with her husband, John, and the impromptu visits to the casino for “lunch” and the “free gifts”. Friends and relatives may pay their respects to Ann and her family on Thursday, April 3, 2014, from 10-11 am at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd., Wethersfield, with a Mass immediately following at 11:30 am at Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect St., Wethersfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 3814-0142.
