Obituary for Tina Georgiades

On January 29, Tina Joan Georgiades was called home to join her loving parents Plutarch Georgiades and Jean (Monahan) Georgiades in heaven. Tina passed away peacefully at home, after a very short and unexpected illness. Tina was born December 10, 1963 in Hartford, CT. Tina was the most amazing daughter, sister, sister-in-law and most importantly auntie that we could ever have. She was truly an angel who walked among us. She was kind and gentle and always did things for other people. She was extremely creative, and single-handedly made beautiful and unique Christmas ornaments for so many of our Christmas trees. She was smart and was always looking to help people. Tina earned multiple degrees, including a degree in early education and a degree in law. Tina always took an unselfish approach to life. In practicing law, she focused on elder-care law and immigration. Most recently Tina was working as a teacher. Helping the little ones always made Tina happy.

Tina’s life revolved around her family and friends. Tina’s passing has left a huge void for her sisters and brother-in-laws, Nancy and Scott Danyliw and Mary and John Bollash, her brothers Andy Georgiades and Chris Georgiades, her sister-in-law Jenn Georgiades (who was really another sister to Tina). Most of all Tina loved her nephews Johnny Bollash, Billy Bollash, Anya Georgiades and Jason Georgiades.Tina adored her God-daughter Ashley Cormier, Bryan Mailman, and Emily Jean Mailman (who pre-deceased Tina). Her friends Joanne and Donna Magnani were like family to her as well. Tina also leaves her very special Aunt Joan and Uncle Jim Tasilo and several cousins who are too numerous to list her. She’d want us to let each of them know that, although she didn’t see them alot, she truly loved them.

Tina was pre-deceased by her sister-in-law Danielle and her parents Plutarch and Jean Georgiades, several very special aunts and uncles and cousins. Due to covid-19, services will be private. However, a celebration of Tina’s life will be held at the end of April/early May and we hope her family and friends will join us then. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society in Tina’s memory. And please, in Tina’s memory, please wear a mask, social distance and stay safe.
