Thomas Jarm, 66, Bristol, CT, passed away at home Monday, Aug. 19, 2019, surrounded by his loving family. Thomas was born May 7, 1953, in Hartford, CT and was a lifelong area resident. He attended Bulkeley High School and the University of Connecticut. Tom retired last September from his career as a security officer at Trinity College. Tom will be remembered fondly by family and friends for his exceptional intellect, his kindness, compassion, humor, generosity and gentle soul. He was an avid reader, loved history, was a passionate sports fan and loved the outdoors. Above all else, Tom loved dogs and they loved him. He was known everywhere he went as the dog whisperer.
He is survived by his mother, Genevieve Jarm; his siblings, Paula Mazur, Janet Corey, Henry Jarm, Robert Jarm, and Jennifer Ross; and multiple nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Victor J. Jarm.
Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Tom may be made to the Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease Foundation, Inc. 3634 W. Market Street, Suite 110, Akron, OH 44333 or

I am so very sorry for your loss and send my most sincere condolences. I worked with Tom at Trinity College, and will always remember him as a warm, kindhearted soul who was of service to everyone he met. A very sad loss for everyone. With sympathy, Laura Lockwood

Sorry for your loss, We worked together at Buildings and Grounds in the early 80's, Tom was a real gentleman.

Thomas, I will remember you as the most sweetest and kindest man I have ever met. You showed me all the local state parks in the area. I will hold those memories in my heart. Rest in peace lovely man. Susan O.
