Obituary for Tadeusz "Ted" Podolski

Tadeusz “Ted” Podolski, 64, husband of Jane (Stabiler) Podolski, passed away November 4, 2021 in Hartford Hospital. He was born in Hartford on February 27, 1957, son of the late Marian and Eleonore (Czernek) Podolski. Ted worked since he was a kid, starting as a paperboy for the Hartford Courant. Before his retirement, Ted was a letter carrier in West Hartford and then the Operations Coordinator of Mail Services for the University of Hartford. He was a graduate of SS Cyril & Methodius School and Hartford Public High School.
Ted loved the outdoors, hiking, and was an avid participant in Boy Scouts. He joined and achieved Life Scout designation, then became a Scout Leader when his son James joined and became a Wood Badge Leader. Lately in retirement, he enjoyed taking Baltic, his dog, for long walks in the park. He also enjoyed visits from his “grand-dog,” Luna. Ted was a very giving person who, through acts of service and gifts, would show his love to the people around him.
Besides his wife, he will be greatly missed by his daughter Stephanie Podolski and her partner Jessica Cysner of Maine, and James Podolski and his wife Valerie of Vernon. He also leaves behind his beloved mother-in-law Therese Stabiler, brother-in-law John, and his sisters-in-law MaryAnn Newton and husband Jim, Cathy Grandahl and husband Bob, his brother Edward and wife Susan, his sister Carol Alves and husband Al, and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the medical, nursing, and all staff members of Hartford Hospital that touched Ted’s life over the last few days.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home in Wethersfield, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ted’s honor can be made to Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation. https://fidelco.org/ways-to-give/
