Obituary for Suzanne Hanson

Suzanne Helen (Boggs) Hanson, 69 of Glastonbury, Connecticut, died on Friday October 18, 2019.
Those who love Suzanne weren't ready for her to leave but her wings were anxious to take her on an eternal sky flight. Cancer took Suzanne's body but it did not take her Spirit! The gleam in Suzanne's eyes, the love she gave and the sound of her laughter will always remain! Suzanne was born on September 12, 1950 in Rockland, Maine. She was born a graceful fighter and that she was her entire life!
Suzanne was the beloved granddaughter of Fred George Boggs and Lillian Augusta Morse Boggs of Waldoboro, Maine. Her grandparents, Fred and Lillian Boggs, she deeply treasured. Suzanne spent her wee childhood years living in Waldoboro. She had 3 siblings all predeceased: Stillborn Baby Catherine Reed, Fredrick Leroy (Reed) Ames and Ronald Reed all of ME. Suzanne spent the rest of her youth and teen years living in Clinton, CT.
She has 4 beloved children who she was extremely proud of...
Lee Richard Hanson, Jennifer Lee Hanson (Hawkins) (Sarli), Michael David Hanson, and Jeffrey Thomas Hanson. Suzanne raised her children in Glastonbury, CT. Suzanne has 5 grandchildren who lit up her life with immense joy: Samantha Lilyan Hanson-Marone (predeceased), Andrew Garrett Hanson, Dayna Katelyn Hanson, Landon M.D. Hanson Sarli, and Chris J. Sarli JR. She has a beloved son in law Christopher J. Sarli SR and beloved daughter in laws Heidi (Goldberg) Hanson and Lisa (Bostick) Hanson. Suzanne also leaves behind the following who she deeply loved too...
Close Cousins: Kathie (Fillatti) Cistare of CT and Kathy (Davis) Kironac of CA. Many Adored Nieces and Nephews: Becky Martins, Jessie Wallenta, Melisa Gallagher, Dale Boyington, Tammy Ames, Freddy Ames, Howard Reed, Travis Reed, and Katie Reed. Suzanne also has equally adored great nieces and great nephews along with many other cousins. And, Suzanne has many dearly loved friends who were family to her.
She was known as everyone's Mom and that she will always be! Simply... Suzanne leaves behind so many people that she loved. Suzanne was a true woman of independent means... She was a lady of great integrity. She always sacrificed for her children and for her grandchildren too! Her children's hero was solely her. Suzanne was a gifted writer and she was talented at doing genealogy research. She wrote a fascinating book about her family's genealogy... Her book is alluring, inspirational and educating.
Suzanne's children hope to publish her book someday to honor her work. Although Suzanne was retired she spent years prior to her retirement working as a highly respected advocate for those with disabilities and illnesses. Suzanne was skilled at many trades and she enjoyed many hobbies. She was a wonderful creator... She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, and needlework too. Cooking and Baking were a part of her joys... She loved filling tummys with awesome warmth. Suzanne had great admiration for the Amish... Their humility and their sense of serenity touched her to her core. She loved Abraham Lincoln, Elvis Presley and President Kennedy too! Suzanne was a passionate reader... Over the years the books she read took her imagination on incredible adventures. Suzanne died peacefully surrounded by her books and with her faithful cat Boston by her side. Suzanne is now Somewhere Over The Rainbow...
May her Heavenly Wings take her on the same glorious flight as her precious granddaughter's Samantha Lilyan Hanson-Marone
