Obituary for Salvatore DeLusso

Salvatore DeLusso, 89, husband of Susan (Ricci) DeLusso of East Hartford, passed away January 6, 2017 in Glastonbury Healthcare. He was born in Hartford, son of the late Martin and Madeline (Corrado) DeLusso and lived in the area all of his life. Prior to his retirement, Sal was a truck driver for Teamsters Local 671. He was an avid sportsman, a member of the Our Lady of Peace Church retirees club and an active retired Teamster with Local 671. Besides his wife, Sal leaves a son Michael DeLusso, a daughter Maria Fazio and her husband Mario, four grandchildren, Heather DeLusso, Wayne DeLusso, David Fazio and Michael Fazio and his wife Gisele, as well as three great-grandchildren, Marcella Lowd, Sophia Fazio and Ezra Solis-Fazio and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his five sisters and three brothers.
Friends may call on the family Tuesday January 10, 2017 from 4-7 pm at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Naubuc Ave., Glastonbury. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at 10:30 am in Our Lady of Peace Church, 370 May St. East Hartford, CT. All attendees are asked to go directly to church. Burial will follow in Silver Lane Cemetery, 1298 Silver Lane, East Hartford, CT 06118. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN. 38105 or the Connecticut Children's’ Medical Center, 282 Washington St., Hartford, CT 06106.
