Richard “Rick” J. Muisener Sr., 78, of Newington, beloved husband of Janet (Elliott) Muisener, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on June 17,2023. Rick was born in Hartford on May 27, 1945 to the late Charles and Catherine (Balassa) Muisener. After high school, Rick served in the U.S Air Force serving with the Geeia Squad. Prior to his retirement, he worked for many years with HELCO as Lineman and then later a Substation Manager. Rick loved being involved in Youth baseball, coaching Little League and Babe Ruth teams and serving as Equipment Manager the Babe Ruth League for many years.

Aside from his wife Janet, Rick leaves behind his two sons; Richard J. Muisener Jr. and his wife Patricia of Basking Ridge, NJ and Timothy J. Muisener and his wife Elise of Berlin, his three brothers; Charles Muisener of Florida, James Muisener of Newington and Philip Muisener and his wife Mary O’Connor of Cape Cod, MA., his two sisters; Marie Zajac and her husband John of Windsor, and Joyce Crayco of Windsor.,Rick also leaves his loving grandchildren, Christian, Delaney, Alivia and Claire, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may call on the Muisener family on Friday, June 23, 2023, from 10:00am to 11:00am at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Road Wethersfield. A funeral service will follow at 11:00am in the funeral home. Burial will follow in West Meadow Cemetery, 679 Willard Ave Newington. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Rick’s name to The Tunnels to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306.
