Richard T. Lagan, 94, of Rocky Hill, beloved husband to Irene (Klugerman) Lagan, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Mapleview Manor. Dick was born on December 3, 1926 to the late Frank and Catherine (Milano) Lagan in Hartford. Dick retired from the Hilton Hotel after 60 years in the hotel business, originally starting at the Bond Hotel in Hartford. He and his beloved wife Irene loved to travel and take trips to Florida.
Aside from his wife Irene, Dick leaves behind his nephews, Mark E. Borofsky and his wife Barbara of Southington, Richard M. Borofsky of Hartford and Robert A. Borofsky of Las Vegas, Nevada. He is predeceased by; his siblings, Robert Lagan, Frances Borofsky, Irene Hall and Margaret Malinowski and his nephew Peter G. Borofsky and niece Dale Farmer.
Friends and relatives may pay their respects to Richard’s family on Monday, July 12, 2021 from 9:00am-10:30am at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd., Wethersfield with a service in the funeral home at 10:30am. Burial to follow at Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery, 1 Cottage Grove Road, Bloomfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Salvation Army, 855 Asylum Ave., Hartford, CT 06105.
