Obituary for Paul Manciagli

Paul Manciagli, 91, beloved husband to Concettina (LaPira) Manciagli, of Hartford, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2021. Paul was born on March 13, 1930 in Palazzolo Acreide, Sicily, to the late Nunzio and Marianna (Santoro) Manciagli. Paul was a beloved language teacher at Valley Regional High School. He was an incredibly intelligent man who knew four languages including, English, Italian, Spanish and French. He loved to travel including taking his students on trips to Spain. In Paul’s retirement he loved to play the game of golf. He met many dear friends playing who also shared the same passion as him. He truly was a selfless family man who was devoted and cared for everyone and will be missed by all.
Besides his loving wife, Paul will be missed by his son, Steven Manciagli and his wife Lisa, his step-daughter, Rose Bairos, his grandchildren, John, James, Christina and David and his great-grandchildren, Lauren, Joe, Alec, Josh and Vivienne. He is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews. Paul was predeceased by his siblings Joseph Manciagli and his wife Connie, Giacomo and his wife Ann and Maria and her husband Paul, he was also predeceased by his friend and son-in-law, Joseph Bairos.
Friends and family may visit Manciagli family from 8:30am-9:30am on Friday, June 25, 2021 at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd. Wethersfield, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 25, 2021 at 10:00am in Saint James Church of Saint Josephine Bahkita Parish, 767 Elm Street, Rocky Hill, CT. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, 453 Fairfield Ave. Hartford, CT. The family also extends thanks to Avery Heights health care for there kindness to and care of Paul.
