Patricia (Bowers) Davis, 92. Wife of the late George L. Davis, of Canton, formerly of Wethersfield, passed away June 7, 2021 at home, surrounded by her family. She was born in Hartford, daughter of the late Howard and Ruth (Sullivan) Bowers. Patricia worked as a Secretary for CNG and later the Hartford Board of Education before staying home to raise her four children. She enjoyed reading, quilting and knitting. Patricia made sweaters and caps for each newborn baby in the family. She enjoyed walking and spending time on the beach, both at their home in Harwich, Cape Cod, where she and George lived for 18 years and their home in Bonita Springs, FL.
Patricia will be greatly missed by her children, Stephen Davis and his wife Barbara, Barbara Keating and her husband Robert, Craig Davis and his wife Deborah, all of Wethersfield and Jennifer Davis of Avon, as well as her grandchildren, Patrick, Emily, Catherine, Kelly, Melissa, James and Abigail and her great-grandson, Jack. She also leaves her twin sister Jean Sarubbi, her sister-in-law Nancy Davis and numerous nieces and nephews. Patricia was pre-deceased by her brothers, Howard and Francis Bowers and her brother-in-law, John Sarubbi and Paul Davis. A special thanks are extended to hospice nurse Kathleen McGuire for the wonderful care the last couple of weeks. Stephen, Barbara and Craig would also like to especially thank Jennifer for the compassionate care she gave in making her last months comfortable.
A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Patricia’s life will be held on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at 10:00 am in the Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect Street, Wethersfield. All attendees are requested to go directly to church. A Calling hour for family and close friends will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 am at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd Wethersfield.
