Norman M. Moore of Charlestown, Rhode Island and Naples, Florida passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in New Bedford, Massachusetts to Henry L. Moore and Marie F. Moore, his family moved to Hartford, Connecticut where he attended local schools. He graduated from Bulkeley High School in 1952. He then joined the Navy and served during the Korean War. After his service, he attended the Porter School of Engineering graduating in 1960. He worked at Atrax Carbide in Newington, Connecticut for over 35 years.

Norman is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Caroline Tosti Moore, his daughter Gina (Jim) Raleigh, sons David Moore and Douglas Moore and his loving grandchildren: Taylor Raleigh, Jason Raleigh, Lauren Raleigh, Cameron Moore and Zachary Moore, his sister Blanche York, brother Moe (Nancy) Moore, Ray (Judy) Moore, sisters in laws Roseanne Porter, Mimi Brennan and Maureen Tosti as well as many wonderful nieces and nephews who always had a special place in his heart. He was predeceased by his parents and sisters Doris Palumbo and Pauline Peters.

Norman loved spending time at his treasured beach house which he built in 1976 in Charlestown, Rhode Island. He loved going to the beach where everyone knew his name. He enjoyed hunting, swimming, and loved cooking breakfast for his family especially his grandchildren. He had an amazing ability to fix anything and everything, as well as solve any problem that came his way. He is deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

Friends may pay their respects to the Moore Family on Friday, February 12, 2021 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am followed by a short funeral service at Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Road, Wethersfield. Burial will take place immediately after funeral services at Fairview Cemetery in West Hartford, Connecticut.
