Mary Frances DePasquale, a beautiful soul, left this earth September 23, 2019 in Hartford Hospital. She was born in Hartford, daughter of the late Dr. Francis and Marjorie (Kelly) DePasquale on August 3, 1947. Mary had faced numerous health issues for the past 13 years with unimaginable strength and courage. During all this, she remained close to her Catholic faith through the Carmelites, Right to Life and various other religious organizations. Mary graduated from South Catholic High School and Saint Francis School of Nursing. She worked at St. Francis Hospital, Wethersfield Manor followed by over 25 years as a Pediatric Nurse for Dr. O’Connor in Glastonbury. Mary ended her career at Wethersfield Healthcare.
She leaves her sister, Maureen McFarland and her husband Steven, her nephew Brendan Mooney, nieces Colleen Slattery and her husband Neil and Kathleen McFarland, as well as her great-nephews, Luke, Colin and Andrew Slattery, great-niece Kelli McGuire and numerous supportive lifelong friends, especially Patricia Banach and Evelyn Auger.
Thanks to the staffs at Ellis Manor and Apple Rehab for their wonderful care. Mary made her presence known in both places helping others. That is who she was.

My favorite person ever, my auntie. I miss you. We had an understanding nobody else will EVER understand. Your “cutie pie” will never forget you. I love you.

Will always remember Mary’s caring humorous way with my three—and we were there a lot—- at Dr. O’Connor’s.... “Jump on the Happy Scale!” She would say. Our prayers are with you, your family, and Mary. May God hold you close and comfort you. God bless.

Maureen, my sympathies go out to your family. I didnt know Mary Frances, but I do know she couldnt have had a more devoted and caring sister. Take some solace in that you did your very best to make her last years as happy and comfortable as possible. She is at peace, I hope now you can know some peace yourself in the memories of your beloved sister.

Thank you to my friends family and my sisters friends that shared in the 2 day celebration of life. The laughs, the tears, the wonderful reminders of the special, caring person she was. She 100% planned and coordinated everything in 2007. To her wonderful friend Santos Roldos who shared with us his love for my sister for saving his life while residents at Ellis Manor. You helped me get through a rough couple of days Santos and thank you for being there. You were a true friend.

Thank you Mary, you understand as a nurse what my sister went through. She did it with such dignity and grace and is finally at peace. I was there for the simple fact that she was my sister, my only sibling and she was always there for me all my life and my children and her grand nephews and grand niece. She was a hoot, loved by all. I will probably keep planning my day around going to the nursing home for awhile, a routine I was glad to have. Thank you again Mary for all your support!
