Martha Mary (Drum) Cavanna, 80, of East Hartford, was surrounded by her family after a courageous battle against cancer, entered into internal light with the angels and her creator on July 8, 2023. She was born in St Louis, Missouri February 6, 1943, the daughter of the late Dale Enders Drum and Marian Catherine (Whittle) Drum. Martha was the beloved wife of her late husband Frank Bernard Cavanna, Sr. Martha was a loving wife, mother, sister aunt, grandmother, she dedicated her life to her family and faith. She was instrumental in starting women softball league in Glastonbury, enjoyed estate sales, beach and gardening.

Martha will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her daughter Sherrie Cavanna of Amston, son Frank Cavanna of Glastonbury son William Cavanna and Cheri Cavanna of Marlborough, Son David and Jennifer Cavanna of Bozrah son Richard Cavanna of Amston, sister Marian Drum, sister Sunny and Salvatore Ferringo brother Dale and Patricia Drum, many nephews, nieces, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is predeceased by granddaughter Mikayla Rose Cavanna and daughter-in-law Darci (Marks) Cavanna.

A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Martha’s life will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at 10:00AM in Saint Paul Church of SS. Isidore and Maria Parish, 2577 Main Street Glastonbury. Burial to follow in Green Cemetery, 99 Hubbard Street, Glastonbury. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Cancer Society in Martha's memory.
