I was so sorry to hear of Dr. Izard’s passing. I have fond memories of his kindness and compassion towards his patients at Buckley Conv. Home. He always made me laugh with his stories. RIP doc.

In 1998, Dr. izzard agreed to accept my brother Allan as his patient, being the only doctor in Hartford to do so. This allowed the family to move Allan from a "warehouse" medical facility in California to Avery in Hartford to be with his family. Dr Izzard readily analyzed Allan's condition & was able to improve Allan's health & mobility. At our bi-annual check-ups, always running late, we would comment on the doctors enjoying another "executive " lunch & getting in some golf time also. He took it in a good-natured manner and bantered back with with us. Dr. izzard gave Allan another good 10 years of life with his family--he was a miracle man. God bless him.

The world has known a great man pass through his lifetime here. Mark was a fine doctor and a good friend to so many.

My sincere sympathies to his family members and his lovely life partner.

He will always be remembered by me.
We conversed with each other in March to May of 2011 in the halls of Hartford Hospital. Mark spoke of turning back time. Of being happy with himself in Old Werhersfield. He laughed about being surprised he could put a new floor in the butlers pantry in their home there. We did a lot of reminiscing through enjoyable times in life. He knew my parents well so we both had good memories to share and enjoy.

Mark will be missed and remembered. Perhaps he’s watching over us all these days. God bless him.
