Obituary for Maria Adamow (Przewrocki)

Maria (Przewrocki) Adamow, 90, wife of the late Bronislaw Adamow, of Newington, entered the gates of Heaven on January 19, 2021. She was born in Poland, daughter of the late Bronislaw and Rozalia (Prochera) Przewrocki. Maria and Bronislaw immigrated to the United States in 1977 to be reunited with their daughter and son, who had immigrated in the years 1970 and 1972 respectively. She worked in R & D at Carling Switch for 20 years. Maria was a devout Catholic, praying the Rosary daily. While in Poland she prepared dinner for the then Bishop Karol Wojtyla, who was to become Pope, John Paul II; her culinary skills were unmatched. She was a proud and loving mother, Babcia and Pra Babcia, who put her family first; her generosity knew no limits.
She will be greatly missed by her son Richard Adamow and his wife Louise of Rocky Hill and Stanley Kosciukiewicz, her son-in-law. She also leaves grandchildren, Mark Kosciukiewicz of Rocky Hill, Peter Kosciukiewicz and his wife Monika of Newington, Anna Faber and her husband Jason of NC, Yvonne Trode and her husband Tyson of Rocky Hill, Lauren Poglitsch and her husband Shaun of Newington, Ingrid Adamow and her fiancé Alec Tice of Newington and Henry Patterson of Rocky Hill. Maria also leaves her eight great-grandchildren, Andrew, Matthew, Jaden, Avery, Shea, Mackson, Kinsley, and Juliet, they were her pride and joy. Besides her husband, she was pre-deceased by her daughter Alice (Adamow) Kosciukiewicz and her younger brothers, Tadeusz and Boleslaw Przewrocki whom remained in Poland.
A private Mass of Christian Burial, at SS. Cyril & Methodius, was held on Friday. The Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home took care of the arrangements.
