Manuel Rivera, 75, of Hartford, beloved husband to the late Noelia Carrion, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 16, 2023, surrounded by his family. Manuel was born on December 25, 1947 in Comerio, Puerto Rico to the late Ramon and Angela (Baez) Rivera. He worked as a metal worker for many years. Manuel’s true love and passion was for his family, always making sure there was a party to be had to share laughs and stories with his loved ones. He loved to fish, travel and was incredibly talented with his hands and could fix anything.

Manuel will be missed by his children, Nilsa Nieves, Irene Carrion and Juan Carrion and his wife Jellyzanee. He will also be missed by his grandchildren, BrendaLee, Keylalee, and Evelees Rivera and his grandson Ricardo Quinones, his great- grandchildren, TJ, Devin, Davion, CJ, Luna, and Mars. Manuel will also be remembered by his siblings, Eladio Santana, Lydia Santana, Ramona Rivera and Maria Santana and his extended family including, his brother-in-law Juanito Carrion, his nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Friends and family may gather on Sunday, October 22, 2023 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Road, Wethersfield. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Manuel’s life will be held on Monday, October 23, 2023 at 10:00am in Saint Lawrence O’Toole Church of Maria Reina de la Paz Parish, 494 New Britain Ave. Hartford.
