Luis Acevedo, 78, of Hartford, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2022. Luis was born to the late Otilia Acevedo and Victor Acevedo on January 10, 1943 in Puerto Rico. He was an excellent chef that loved working for numerous restaurants. He loved his family and dedicated his life to being a devoted husband and father. He loved to dance, listen to music and spend time caring for his car. Everyone knew Luis for being strong and unapologetic. During these times we are wrapped around in his strength as we mourn his loss.
Luis leaves behind his wife Brunilda Santana, his son Rene Santana and his daughters, Elizabeth Acevedo, Enid Acevedo, Clarissa Acevedo, and Beatrice Acevedo, his 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren with 2 on the way. Luis also leaves behind his sister Margarita and Antonia and his brothers Jose and Pepe. He would dearly be missed by his wife, children, and grandchildren. During his lifetime his humility and humbleness were unsurpassed as viewed by those close to him. He was a man that was funny, well respected, and loved by everyone that knew him. He will greatly be missed by all.
