Obituary for Lois A. Hager (Reichle)

Lois Ann Hager, beloved wife of Robert J. “Bob” Hager and daughter of the late Harry and Lydia (Tabacar) Reichle, peacefully passed away at home Thursday, August 1, 2019, at age 82, with her family by her side. Lois was born April 28, 1937 in Jamaica, NY. Along with her husband of 61 years, she is survived by a son, Michael Hager of Sturbridge, MA, his wife Jennifer, and his sons James and Thomas; two daughters, Patricia Malan of Manchester, her husband, Alan and their children Kimberly, Craig with his wife Emily, Kyle with his wife Katherine, Casey, and Corey with his fiancé Catherine; Susan Wild of South Glastonbury, her husband, Craig and their children Sara and Ryan; as well as two cherished great grandchildren Nathan and Abigail Malan. Married in Queens, NY in 1958, Lois and Bob started family life in New York, relocating to Glastonbury in 1976. In addition to being a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Lois generously volunteered her time and talents with her church and numerous community service organizations. Over the years, she willingly took on various projects, in addition to accepting many leadership positions. Always one to think of others first, Lois’s caring and compassionate nature always shone through to everyone she encountered, whether it be family, friend or stranger. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
Friends and relatives may pay their respects to the Hager family Monday, August 5, 2019 from 4-7 pm at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Naubuc Ave., Glastonbury. A Mass of Christian Burial, in celebration of Lois’s life, will be Tuesday, August 6th at 10am in St. Paul Church of the Community of Ss. Isadore & Maria Parish, 2577 Main St., Glastonbury (attendees are asked to go directly to the church). Interment will follow the Mass in Green, Cemetery, Hubbard St., Glastonbury.
