Obituary for Linda Lamore (Nystrom)

Linda Marie (Nystrom) Lamore, age 75, beloved wife of S. James Lamore, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2022 with her loving family by her side. Born on March 15, 1947 in West Springfield, MA, Linda was the second born of three daughters to C. Harry and Louise (McDonald) Nystrom. She attended Burdett Junior College and later graduated from North Hampton Commercial College and diligently managed the back office of the family business for 50+ years. In addition to her responsibilities with the family business, she was a devoted mother who loved being a homemaker and supporting her children’s (and later grandchildren’s) activities. Linda was a selfless individual who found pleasure in making the friends and family around her happy. She was a thoughtful, kind, and generous person who had a flair for making everyone feel special by remembering the unique details that brought them joy. She enjoyed traveling, crafting, cooking/baking and especially gathering a group for the holidays. She welcomed everyone she met with her warm and caring personality, and she had a genuine concern for others. Linda was the consummate caretaker, always putting family and friends needs above her own. She touched many lives as she moved from Hartford to Cromwell, and ultimately settled in Portland.
Besides her husband of 52 years, Jim, Linda leaves her son Todd Lamore and his wife Tricia of Wethersfield, her daughter Nicole Fortin and her husband Bill of Bethany, and her son Michael Lamore and his wife Nancy of Newington; her five cherished grandchildren, Amanda Lamore, Julie Lamore, James Fortin, Johnathan “Jack” Fortin, and Sarah Fortin; her sisters Sue (Mace) Comora and Barbara (John) LaRusso; many nieces, nephews, godchildren, grandnieces, and grandnephews; and her many friends who she cherished and loved like family. As a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend she was loved beyond measure. She will forever be in our hearts.
Family and friends may call on Friday, December 9, 2022 from 4:00PM – 7:00PM at Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Street, Wethersfield.
