Lesia (Wasylkiw) Szewczuk, 77, wife of the late Michael Szewczuk, peacefully passed away November 21, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born April 22, 1946 in Kassel, Germany while her parents, the late John and Anna (Slotwinska) Wasylkiw, were immigrating to the United States from Ukraine. Lesia was an active member in the Ukrainian community, loved cooking, gardening, Bingo, and spending time with family and friends. She leaves her daughter, Anya Majeski and her husband Greg of Middle Haddam, her granddaughters, Sophia and Caroline, and her sister Irene Gancarz and her husband Richard of South Windsor. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers Eugene and Roman.
