Obituary for Josephine Boutieller (Carozzo)
Josephine (Carozzo) Boutieller, 102, of Hartford, wife of the Robert J. Boutieller, died on Sunday, April 25, 2021. Born in Winsted, CT, daughter to the late Salvatrice (Formica) and Leon Carozzo. She was a graduate of Saint Anthony School and The Gilbert School of Winsted. Josephine moved to Hartford in 1952 and worked for Travelers Insurance Company for many years. She was a communicant of Saint Lawrence O’Toole Church of Mary Queen of Peace Parish and was a member of Rosary Altar Society.
She leaves one son, Robert A. Boutieller, of Hartford, two daughters, Alice Sucholdlski and Laurie Mathers, of Bristol, two grandchildren, Carrie M. Calverley and Jesse Mathers, of Bristol, three great-grandchildren, Cassandra Cardello, Rebecca Calverley, and Sophie Mathers. Josephine also is survived by several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by a son, Kenneth Boutieller and a sister, Florence Palmer.
Family and friends may pay their respect on Friday, April 30, 2021 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Road, Wethersfield. Masks must be worn and social distancing observed. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Josephine’s life will be held on Friday, April 30, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Lawrence O’Toole of María Reina De La Paz Parish, 494 New Britain Ave. Hartford, CT.
