The family of Jane (Suzedelis) Diana of Wethersfield, sadly announces the peaceful passing on August 19, 2017 of a beloved mother, loving grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister-in-law, and dear friend to many.
Born in Providence, Rhode Island on April 3, 1919 to the late Peter and Rose Suzedelis. The family moved to Hartford, CT when she was young. Jane attended Hartford schools and graduated from Weaver High in 1938. At Weaver, she met her future husband Alexander J. Diana Sr. who pre-deceased her in 2000 after almost sixty years of marriage.
After raising her daughter and son, Mom entered the work force where she happily became employed at Traveler’s Insurance Co. for twenty-two years retiring in 1984. As a member of the Traveler’s Women’s Club, she enjoyed all the activities and made many new friends. G-Fox, Sage-Allen and Federal Bakery were her favorite “hang-outs”. She had a wonderful eye for style, always refined and elegant. Cooking, baking and a good book were her passions. Blessed with an easy going disposition, a kind heart, beautiful smile and infectious laugh, Jane was loved by all.
Mom will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her loving daughter Diane J. Diana and son Alexander J. Diana Jr. (Donna) all of Wethersfield, CT; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She will now rest in loving peace with her husband Alexander, brother Joe and sisters Helen, Ann and Gerry.
