Obituary for Frances Ann Minoia (Delponte)

Frances Ann (Delponte) Minoia (Fran, Frannie, ChiChi, Mom, Nonna) 74, wife of Leo Minoia of Wethersfield, passed away June 8, 2021 in Hartford Hospital. She was born in Rockville, daughter of the late Battista and Vilma (Gandolfi) Delponte on January 4, 1947. Frances moved to South Glastonbury at a young age and graduated from Glastonbury High School in 1965 and the Creative Hairdressing School in 1966. She was a hairdresser for over 50 years, still working one day a week. Her clients became lifelong friends. Frances was an amazing cook and baker. Family and friends meant everything to her and she was never happier than when she had a full table. You never went home hungry or empty handed. She also always sent a card no matter how big or small the event. Frances even learned to text and email in her later years and kept in touch with many that way. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. She was a devoted parishioner of Corpus Christi Church of Christ the King Parish and was very proud of her Italian heritage
Besides her husband, Frances will be greatly missed by her two daughters; Elda Marcelynas and Angela LaBianca and her husband Michael of Wethersfield, her grandchildren; Giulia Ann, Marco Anthony and James Arthur, who were her pride and joy. She will also be fondly remembered by her brother; John Delponte and his wife Joann, her sister; Annamaria Delaney and her husband James, her brother-in-law, Mario Minoia and her sister-in-law Rita Manghisi, her Goddaughters, Monica Tarasek, Erika Usiak and Nicky Hannon.
