Condolence: My deepest condolences go out to the Reilly family. What can be said of this great man that has not already been said? Coach was one of my favorite leaders during my time at Portland High School. Everyday I would look forward to gym class so that I would get to see Coach. I was not an athlete on any of his teams but he still treated me as one of his own and he did that for everyone. I'll miss him serenading me every morning whether in gym class or in the halls with "Meet The Mets". Coach was the greatest teacher a student could have asked for and if we lost a great one I am certain that heaven has gained one. One last thing I remember from way back in high school is Coach's free throws. He would step up to the line and amaze us every day with how many free throws he could hit in a row. He was like Larry Bird. May you never miss another free throw Coach.

Condolence: To Gene's family Gene was what most of us try to be; a good man. He was a great athlete and coach, but I will also remember him as a nice guy from Hartford who served his country with honor. May he rest in peace.

Condolence: To the family of Coach Reilly, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. You will be in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. Coach Reilly was such a great athlete/coach but even a greater person. As far as coaching goes, he beat us (Bacon Academy) too many times, he was a legend. Gene will be missed by so many including my father, his old friend and myself. God bless you.

Condolence: Dear Mary Margaret, We are so sorry that Gene is no longer with us. I'll miss that little wave he would give us as he drove by while we took our walks together, and his witty sense of humor, too. Undoubtedly, many will miss him. May God give you His strength and peace. Mary Ellen and Alan

Condolence: Mary Margaret: Your wonderful man fought the good fight to the end. The final words of Dickens' Sydney Carton seem appropriate: ..."it is a far, far better rest that I go to than I have ever known."
