Eleanor Margaret (Wilson) Chapman, 90, wife of the late Richard Chapman, formerly of Glastonbury, passed away December 19, 2019 at Vernon Green Nursing Home in Vernon,VT. She was born in Brattleboro, VT, daughter of the late Richard A. and Jessie (O’Connor) Wilson on March 3, 1929. Eleanor graduated from Brattleboro High School, Class of 48 and the Henry Putnam Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She then worked for ten years as an LPN at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital. Eleanor married Richard Francis Chapman on May 7, 1960. She leaves her two sons, Walter Chapman and his wife Beth of AK and Paul A. Chapman and his wife Theresa of VT, her two grandsons Zane and Neal and her granddaughter Rebecca. A brother, Richard A. Wilson and wife Jean of VT.
Friends may call on Saturday December 28, 2019 from 10-11 AM at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Naubuc Avenue, Glastonbury. A Memorial Service, celebrated by Pastor Kate VanDerzee-Glidden of First Church of Christ Congregational will take place at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Green Cemetery, 99 Hubbard Street, Glastonbury.
