I first met Mr Gentino in 19 76. He was my first boss right out of Secretarial School. We worked in The Travelers underwriting Department together. I was his secretary. He was a great boss, and friend. He instilled confidence in me. He shared his love of bridge, and his cruises. Strange, that he popped into my mind this evening, and I looked up his obituary. Sad to see that he died just two months ago. He had a long and beautiful life, just know, that he did have a positive impact in mine. My sympathies to all the family. Anna

I met Ed through my mother, Lillian Zingesar Miller, who attended Bulkeley with Ed, and was class secretary when Ed was class president. Ed and Marge attended many of our family functions over the years and it was a pleasure having them there. Mom and Ed put together many class reunions. I spoke to Ed not too long ago, to see if he wanted some pictures of some of the recent class reunions, as Mom, at this point in her life, cannot remember who the people in the pictures are. Ed did in fact want to see the pictures, but I was negligent in getting them to him, and now it's too late. I will certainly miss Ed - I enjoyed his company. If you would like the pictures I have, you are welcome to them.

Ed was a great underwriter and friend. Even though it has been more than 30 years ago, the one thing I will always remember of him is his laugh.

I am one of Ed's bridge students and admirer of his skills in that regard but also his kind soul and gentle ways. I grew to know him just through bridge so it was only in reading his obituary that I realized that we had several other things in common including coaching youth sports and the Planetary Society. He was the consummate teacher, always there to share his insights or teach a new approach to an old problem. Though I did not know him as well as many others I will miss him and, though it doesn't measure up to yours, I share in your grief.

My deepest sympathies,

John Pelegano
