Doris L. Brisson, 87, of Wethersfield, passed away May 27, 2021 at Bride Brook Home in
Niantic. She was born in Hartford, daughter of the late Leo and Rose (Gagne) Bilodeau.
She was predeceased by her husband, Roger Brisson. Prior to her retirement, Doris
worked as an Office Assistant at Stanadyne for 28 years. She enjoyed knitting and
crocheting. She loved all her dogs, which were all named Petu.
Her family was everything to her. She loved babies and young children, especially her
favorite great-grandson T.J. Doris leaves her daughter Gloria Veitch and her husband
Robert of Old Saybrook, her grandchildren, Amy, Kerry, Matt, Jennifer, Melissa, Kimberly,
Timothy, Gregory, Danielle, Jim and Sunshine as well as 31 Great-Grandchildren. She also
leaves 2 step-daughters, Sue McCormick and Tricia Orletski and a step son, Roger
Brisson. She was predeceased by her children James Rickis, Jr., Darlene Cormier, Leo
Rickis, her grandchildren, Valerie, Jason and Kristyl, great-grand daughter Jaelynn as well
as her brothers, Larry and Ray and sisters, Ann and Rose Anne.
Doris was full of life and laughter and always loved a party. Her inappropriate conversations
were a delight to all who knew her.
Friends may call on Tuesday June 1, 2021 from 9:00 to 11:00 am at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral
Home, 34 Beaver Road, Wethersfield. A Memorial Service will take place at 11:00 am. Burial will
be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Connecticut Humane Society
