Obituary for Dolores M Cardillo (DeGruttola)
Dolores Cardillo passed away peacefully on April 10, 2024 at the age of 97. Born on April 8, 1927 in Hartford to the late Daniel and Josephine DeGruttola. She is predeceased by her husband William Cardillo and son Thomas Cardillo.
Dolores leaves behind her beloved son Richard Cardillo and his wife, Kathleen Cardillo. Her four grandchildren, Richard Cardillo, Leah Van Blaricom, Billy Cardillo and Bethany Cardillo and eleven great-grandchildren, whom she enjoyed even more than her grandkids!
Dolores went through the depression, was in the circus fire, the first female side walk inspector in history. She was active in the Catholic Church and had a very strong faith. She enjoyed playing cards at the senior center, sewing, beach weekends with her girlfriends and gardening.
Dolores kept herself busy and stayed young and active most of her life.
She will be missed but her family knows she is at peace and finally after forty years has been reunited with her husband William.
A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Dolores’ life will be held on Monday, April 15, 2024 at 11:00AM in Corpus Christi Church of Christ the King Parish, 601 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield. Burial to follow in Village Cemetery, 1 Marsh Street Wethersfield.
