Dimitrios Krionidis, 94, of Glastonbury, beloved husband of 67 years to Maria, passed away peacefully on Thursday December 23rd 2021. Born in Messia, Greece on June 15, 1927, to the late Nikolas and Tzivaeri. Dimitrios loved his family and immigrated to the US to be close to them after spending many years as a farmer in Greece. He was a hardworking and benevolent man who would do anything for his loved ones. Dimitrios enjoyed taking walks, gardening in the warm weather but most importantly spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Aside from his wife, Dimitrios is survived by his daughters, Alexia Krionidou and her husband, Richard Wing, of Glastonbury and Lina Haralambous and her husband Vasilis of Glastonbury. His beloved grandchildren, Alexander D. Haralambous, Christopher S. Haralambous, Nicholas A. Wing and Natalie M. Wing. His sister, Kalliopi Pashalidou and his nephews, Alex & Terry Pashalidis; and Alex, Nick & Dean Kreonidis.
The funeral will be held on ​Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 11:00AM in St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 433 Fairfield Ave., Hartford, with the Rev. Dr. George Zugravu officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery 1318 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury.
