Obituary for Diane Rowe (Peterson)
Diane (Peterson) Rowe, 76, wife of the late William E. Rowe, passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 15, 2023 in Arden Court of Avon. She was born in Hartford, daughter of the late Gustave and Jeanette (Keyes) Peterson. Diane served on the Board of Trustees for Capital Community College. She also did a lot of volunteer work for various organizations and was a Past Exalted Ruler of the Wethersfield-Rocky Hill BPOE Lodge # 2308. Diane was a former member of the Wethersfield Junior Women’s Club.
She will be greatly missed by her daughter Ashley Rowe of Windsor, her four grandsons, PFC Christopher Colbert-Rowe, Anthony Rowe, Carter Rowe and Bryson Cole. She also leaves her brother-in-law Dennis Honan, her sister-in-law Barbara (Rowe) Hyland and her husband Richard Hyland, her grandchildren’s father and step-father, Brynt Cole and numerous friends. Diane was pre-deceased by her sister Lynn Peterson Honan.
Friends may call on Friday October 20, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Road Wethersfield. A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 in the funeral home. Burial will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 21, 2023 in the Connecticut State Veterans Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown, followed by a reception at Elizabeth’s Restaurant, 825 Cromwell Ave. Rocky Hill from 12:15-2:00.
