Denise (McNeil) Fote, 68, wife to Donald Fote of Wethersfield, passed away peacefully surrounded by her husband and sons on January 19, 2022. She was born in Homewood, Illinois to the late John and Eileen McNeil. After high school she received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Hartford. She held many jobs most recently retiring from Peoples Bank, she was well rounded with a heart of gold. This allowed her to help others in roles such as the President of PTO at Naylor school in Hartford, or the President of Dollars for Scholars in Wethersfield.
She touched so many with her warmth and love, besides her husband Donald, Denise is survived by her two sons, Brian Fote and Christopher Fote and his wife Hannah. She also adored two grandchildren Nora and Quinn Fote. She is also survived by her siblings Jack (Joanne) McNeil and Kathy (David) Vogel. Denise is predeceased by her son Donald Fote Jr. and sister Bonnie and brother Doug McNeil.
Friends and family may call on the Fote family from 3:00PM to 6:00PM on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Road, Wethersfield. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Denise’s life will be held on Monday, January 24, 2022 at 10:00AM in Corpus Christi of Christ the King Parish, 601 Silas Deane Highway, all attendees are asked to go directly to church.
