Obituary for Daniel P. "Danny" Coyle

Daniel Peter Coyle, 68, of Glastonbury passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at home. Danny was born to the late John J. and Margaret (Call) Coyle on June 29, 1953 in New London, CT. He was a great actor, the world was his stage, he was in hundreds of plays and was in theater over his life. He never felt more alive than when he was acting, he did a few commercials but loved acting and directing on stage, which was his lifetime passion. Everyone loved Danny, he would do anything for his family. He was very benevolent and would do anything for anyone and had a desire to help the less fortunate, he never looked down on anyone and would always lift their spirits and help any way he could. Danny was an animal lover, especially his four German Shepherds that he loved with all his heart. Danny was a devout Catholic and had been a communicant of Saint Paul Church in Glastonbury since 1962. He was known well in the church community and had been an usher there for many years. In his younger years he loved playing all sports and throughout his life he loved watching his beloved New York Giants and New York Mets. Danny loved the being by the water, especially Fisher’s Island, which he had fond memories of growing up there and thought it was a place unspoiled by time and man, a true paradise on Earth. For the last 19 years, Danny and his brother Kevin lived together for nineteen years after the passing of their mother. They had a special bond of loyalty, trust and love and were always there for each other in good times and bad but their bond could never be broken.
Danny leaves behind his brothers, Jack Coyle and his wife Barbara of Middletown and Kevin Coyle of Glastonbury, his sister-in-law and Fran Coyle of Newington. He is also survived by his cousins, Barbara Jean Collins, Maureen Keller and her husband Mike and Tommy Langley, all of Florida. Danny was predeceased by his brother Mickey Coyle.
Friends and family may call on the Coyle family on Thursday, January 20 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Naubuc Ave. Glastonbury.
