Billie Ruth (Sattar) Skelly, 91, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Hartford Hospital, Hartford, Connecticut. She was born on August 2, 1931 in Chelsea, Massachusetts to Harry Bennett Sattar and Celia (Stone) Sattar, the oldest of their three children. Billie graduated from Weaver High School in 1949. After high school, Billie started working as a secretary. She married Roger in 1955 and they had one daughter, Pamela, a year later. Billie realized that she truly enjoyed working as a waitress and a hostess in restaurants. She had an uncanny memory when it came to her customers and their favorite orders. She was a real people person and loved chatting with family and friends. Billie was always stylish in her fashion and took pride in her appearance.

Billie is survived by her daughter, Pamela Skelly, her grandchildren, Selena Skelly-Dorn, Livia (Skelly-Dorn) Roustan, Isabela Carver, and Antonio Carver, and her great-grandchildren, Naomi Roustan, Fiona Roustan, Luna Ledezma, and Leonardo Ledezma, and many nieces and nephews. Billie was predeceased by her two younger siblings, Tamara (Sattar) Gordon and Sherman Sattar.
