Anthony Edward Kellis, 95, passed away peacefully in his home on Feb 23. With him were his wife of 67 years, Jean, and daughters Deborah and Patricia. He is also survived by grand-daughters Priscilla Heard and Caitlin Drennen, Priscilla's husband Rob and their children, and many dear friends. Born in Bridgehampton, NY on Dec. 22, 1917, he was a Wethersfield resident since 1960. He was the owner of Ardmore Plumbing and Heating until his complete retirement only a few years ago. He was a WWII veteran, serving with the Marines in the Pacific. An avid outdoorsman, he loved fishing, boating, scuba diving, skiing and tennis. He was a long time member of the Wethersfield Community Players, supervising and building many of the sets for productions in the 1960-70s with his close friend Philip Brown, while also serving a time as President. He was always willing to help anyone at any time, friend or stranger, and he will be deeply and dearly missed. Funeral services will be private, but the family asks that any donations in his name be made to VNA Healthcare/Hospice in gratitude for their caring and complete care.
