Anthony J. “Tony” Gesnaldo, 76, of Glastonbury, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Glastonbury Healthcare. Anthony was born in Hartford on March 6, 1947 to the late Anthony and Mary (Kiran) Gesnaldo. He was a retired barber who was proud of his civic contributions, enjoyed time with his family, and indulging in a beautiful meal with a fine glass of wine and a cigar to follow. Anthony is survived by his daughter and her family, Cara Carreira and her husband Virgilio of Rocky Hill and their children, Nicholas, Marisa and Alexandra. Anthony leaves behind his best friend and love of his life of more than thirty years, Suzanne Roden, her children George and his wife Mary, Debra, Michelle and her husband Bob, grandchildren Paige and her husband Reed, Mackenzie, Shannon and Lindsay, and great-grandchildren Chase and Cameron, as well as his cousins and other extended family. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Helen and Harry Gray Cancer Center at Hartford Hospital.
A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Anthony’s life will be held on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at 10:00AM in Saint Paul Church of SS. Isidore and Maria Parish, 2577 Main Street, Glastonbury.
