Mary Frances DePasquale, a beautiful soul, left this earth September 23, 2019 in Hartford Hospital. She was born in Hartford, daughter of the late Dr. Francis and Marjorie (Kelly) DePasquale on August 3, 1947. Mary had faced numerous health issues for the past 13 years with unimaginable strength and courage. During all this, she remained close to her Catholic faith through the Carmelites, Right to Life and various other religious organizations. Mary graduated from South Catholic High School and Saint Francis School of Nursing. She worked at St. Francis Hospital, Wethersfield Manor followed by over 25 years as a Pediatric Nurse for Dr. O’Connor in Glastonbury. Mary ended her career at Wethersfield Healthcare.
She leaves her sister, Maureen McFarland and her husband Steven, her nephew Brendan Mooney, nieces Colleen Slattery and her husband Neil and Kathleen McFarland, as well as her great-nephews, Luke, Colin and Andrew Slattery, great-niece Kelli McGuire and numerous supportive lifelong friends, especially Patricia Banach and Evelyn Auger.
Thanks to the staffs at Ellis Manor and Apple Rehab for their wonderful care. Mary made her presence known in both places helping others. That is who she was.
Friends may call on Thursday September 26, 2019 from 4:00 to 6:00 at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Road, Wethersfield. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Mary’s life will be held on Friday September 27, 2019 at 10:00 AM in the Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect Street, Wethersfield. All attendees are requested to go directly to church. A private burial will follow in Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery.
