Obituary for Laura Ann Coupe (Simons)
Laura Ann (Simons) Coupe, 50, of Danielson, beloved wife of twenty years to Christopher Richard Coupe and devoted mother to Brianna Leigh Coupe and Ryan Christopher Coupe, passed away suddenly Saturday, April 13, 2019. Laura was born March 19, 1969 in Hartford, daughter of the late John H. Simons and Marilyn (Barnard) Simons. Laura lived in Wethersfield most of her life, attended Wethersfield schools and was a graduate of Wethersfield High School, Class of 1987.
Laura took pride in her 30-year career in the HVAC Controls field. She was a well-known figure in the Greater Hartford area in this industry – having developed solid client relationships during her time at Johnson Controls, Tower Equipment Co., FW Webb, Control Consultants, Inc. and most currently Boston Aircontrols, Inc. Just about everyone knew Laura and always had wonderful things to say about her.
Laura was a gracious woman who was devoted to and loved her family more than anything. Brianna and Ryan were the lights of her life. She could spend hours talking about her two children, their many accomplishments and milestones, how extremely proud of both them she was and of course how much she cherished them.
Laura adored animals, especially her own, Kody, Molly, Samantha, Lenny and Sonya, who she referred to as her “fur babies”.
Along with her husband and two children, Laura will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her two sisters and brothers-in-law, Julia (Simons) Castro and husband Edward Castro, of Tolland, Joanna (Simons) Plage and husband David Plage of Glastonbury; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Friends and relatives may pay their respects to the Coupe family, Friday, May 3, 2019 from 5 – 7 pm at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd., Wethersfield. A Remembrance service in Laura’s memory will be at 7pm in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Brianna and Ryan’s Education fund.
