Cathy Ann King, 64, of Wethersfield, passed away Saturday January 16, 2016 in Hartford Hospital. She was born on September 3, 1951, daughter of Robert C. and Agnes (Sullivan) King and lived in the Hartford area all of her life. Cathy was a graduate of South Catholic High School and Central Connecticut State University. She went on to teach at St. Augustine School in Hartford and later was employed at Total Fitness of Manchester. Cathy liked gardening and photography and won numerous awards, including the 2012 and 2014 Wethersfield Town Photography Contest for her winter scenes of the Webb House and Wethersfield Cove. Besides her parents, she leaves a brother Robert D. King and his wife Kim of Charlotte, NC, a nephew Ryan King and his wife Nina of Charlotte and two nieces, Whitney Held, her husband Steve and their children, Tatum and Tenley, all of Waxhaw, NC and Mackenzie King of Charlotte. Cathy also leaves numerous cousins and will be greatly missed by her dog, Riley. Special thanks are given to the people who helped her during her illness, Marie, Mark and Patty.
