Alvilda (Calixto) Rodriguez of East Hartford the beloved wife of Angel Rodriguez entered into the Lord’s embrace Friday July 10 ,2009. Born in Patillas, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of Antonio and Maximina Calixto. In addition to her husband Angel, sharing in their loss are her sons, Angel Rodriguez Jr, John Rodriguez, Julio Rodriguez, all of Hartford, Antonio Rodriguez of New Britain, and her daughters, Maria Zayas and her husband Gerardo, and Eucaris “Caris” Guzman and her husband Benny all of Windsor, she is further survived by her six brothers. Alvilda was blessed with seventeen grandchildren as well as five great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews as well as her good friends, Elba Delgado and Francisca Rodriguez both of East Hartford. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the nurses and staff of the John Dempsey, Uconn Health Center and the Wethersfield Health Care Center for their wonderful care. Alvilda was predeceased by her son Victor Rodriguez. Funeral Services will be held, Thursday, July 16, 2009 at 10 am from the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd, Wethersfield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Augustine Church, 10 Campfield Ave, Hartford. Interment will follow at the Middletown Veterans Cemetery, Bow Lane, Middletown. Friends and relatives may call on the family Wednesday, from 5-8pm at the Funeral Home.
